Porsche Unveils Electric Version of Its Popular Cayenne in India — Starting Price ₹1.76 Crore; Features & Photos Inside
Long-distance comfort and uncompromised off-road capability — that’s what defines the new Cayenne Electric. Its motor produces 850 kW (1,156 PS) of power, enabling the SUV to accelerate from 0–100 km/h in just 2.5 seconds.
On Thursday, Porsche launched the fully electric version of its popular Cayenne in India. It has been introduced in two variants.
The price of the Cayenne Electric is ₹1.76 crore (ex-showroom, before options), while the Cayenne Turbo Electric is priced at ₹2.26 crore (ex-showroom, before options).
Both variants come with all-wheel drive, along with Porsche’s electronic traction management system. According to the company, this is the most powerful production car in Porsche’s history. It packs Porsche DNA with next-gen technology. On a full charge, the electric motor offers a range of up to 642 km. The SUV is dynamic on roads, confident off-road, and comfortable on long journeys.

Top Speed: 260 km/h
The Cayenne Turbo accelerates from 0–100 km/h in 2.5 seconds, 0–200 km/h in 7.4 seconds, and has a top speed of 260 km/h.
The Turbo variant features direct oil cooling for the electric motor on the rear axle to ensure continuous high output and efficiency — an innovation derived from motorsport.
In normal driving mode, it produces up to 630 kW (857 PS).
With the Push-to-Pass function, pressing a button activates an additional 130 kW (176 PS) of power for 10 seconds.
The entry-level Cayenne model delivers 300 kW (408 PS) in normal mode and 325 kW (442 PS) along with 835 Nm torque in launch control mode. It reaches 0–100 km/h in 4.8 seconds, with a top speed of 230 km/h.

New Charging Capabilities
At the heart of the fully electric Cayenne models lies a newly developed 113 kWh high-voltage battery, featuring double-sided cooling for optimal thermal management.
This gives the Cayenne Electric a total WLTP range of up to 642 km and the Turbo variant up to 623 km.
Thanks to its 800-volt architecture, the Cayenne supports DC fast charging at up to 390 kW, and under certain conditions, even 400 kW.
The state of charge can increase from 10% to 80% in under 16 minutes, and energy for 325 km (Cayenne) or 315 km (Cayenne Turbo) of driving range can be added in just 10 minutes.
During development, Porsche placed strong emphasis on providing robust and high-performance charging capability.
